BA Junior Hockey @ New England Wolves February 22 & 23, 2014

WATERVILLE VALLEY, NH—The Junior Hockey Wolverines traveled to Waterville Valley this past weekend to take on the New England Wolves for two games, to close out the 2013-14 season.
In game one on Saturday night, the Wolverines would fall to a final score of 6-3. BA’s goals came from Luke Moma (Wasilla, AK), Trip Franzese (Marblehead, MA), and Luke DiMarco (Glastonbury, CT). Mike DeFilippo (Montreal, QC) came in relief in net and kept BA in the contest.
In game two on Sunday, the Wolverines would fall to a final score of 7-0. Ryan Slatky (Manchester, NH) competed hard in between the pipes for BA.  
The Wolverines 2013-14 season comes to a close with BA being proud of the compete level, commitment, and dedication they showed all season long.

BA Junior Hockey vs CEGEP- St. Foy February 15 & 16, 2014

NORTH BRIDGTON, ME—The Junior Hockey Wolverines hosted CEGEP- St Foy for two home games this past weekend.
In game one on Saturday night, BA would fall to a final score of 4-1, with their lone goal coming from Spence Cowand (Gorham, ME) with the assist from Cam McLain (Westbrook, ME). Ryan Slatky (Manchester, NH) played between the pipes.
In game two on Sunday, BA would fall to a final score of 5-1 with their lone goal coming from Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) with the assist going to Trip Franzese (Marblehead, MA) and Luke Moma (Wasilla, AK). Mike DeFilippo (Montreal, QC) was in net.

The Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they travel to New Hampshire to close out their season with two game against the New England Wolves.

BA Junior Hockey vs Lawrenceville/Hill February 8 & 9, 2014

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ/ POTTSTOWN, PA—The Junior Hockey Wolverines traveled south to both New Jersey to take on Lawrenceville Academy and Pennsylvania to take on The Hill School this past weekend.
The Wolverines would drop a 3-0 decision on Saturday night to Lawrenceville Academy. BA had a number of even-strength and power play scoring chances but could not convert on any. Ryan Slatky (Manchester, NH) competed hard in between the pipes.
On Sunday morning, the Wolverines would face-off against the Hill School in Pottstown, PA. BA would take a first period 1-0 lead after Spence Cowand (Gorham, ME) put away the rebound on a point shot from Colin Donnelly (Quincy, MA). In the second frame, the Wolverines would get on the board again with a power play goal from Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) with assists from Trip Franzese (Marblehead, MA) and Brendon Duff (Stellarton, NS). The Wolverines would eventually fall to a 4-2 final score. Mike DeFilippo (Montreal, QC) provided BA with great goaltending.

The Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they host CEGEP-Saint Foye for two games on Saturday night at 7 and Sunday at noon at BIA.

BA (Prep) vs. Rice AAA


February 1 & 2, 2014
SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT—The Prep Hockey Wolverines traveled to Burlington, VT to take on Rice AAA for two games this past weekend.
In game one on Saturday afternoon, the Wolverines would fall to a 7-0 final score with the team competing hard throughout the game and not being able to convert on any of their scoring chances. Jack Lindsay (Goodrich, MI) competed hard in between the pipes for BA all afternoon.
In game two on Sunday, the Wolverines would fall to a final score of 8-2, with Colin Donnelly (Quincy, MA) picking up two goals. Charlie Long (Wakefield, MA), Travis Bobb (Harlem, NY), and Artem Yasynetskyy (Kharkiv, Ukraine) would notch assists. Dan Curran (Chelmsford, MA) was in net for BA.

The Wolverines are back in action this week when they host Plymouth State Wednesday night at BIA for a 7pm puck-drop, and then travel Sunday afternoon to take on New England College.

BA (Junior) vs. National Sports Academy


January 25 & 26, 2014
NORTH BRIDGTON, ME—The Junior Hockey Wolverines hosted National Sports Academy for two games this past weekend at Bridgton Ice Arena.
In game one on Saturday night, the Wolverines would find themselves in a 1-0 deficit after one period of play. In the second frame, the Wolverines would explode for four goals from Tyler Burton (Wabash, NF), Zach Lemerand (Grosse Ile, MI), and two from Connor Demore (Watertown, MA). Ryan Slatky gave BA great goaltending between the pipes to earn the victory, with a final score of 4-1.
In game two on Sunday, the Wolverines would exchange goals in the first period with NSA to find themselves in a 1-1 tie after the first frame. BA’s first goal came from Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) on the man advantage. BA would then surrender three second period goals, which resulted in them trailing 4-1 after two periods of play. The Wolverines would find energy and urgency in their game to rally in the third period. BA would register two goals in the final period from Trip Franzese (Marblehead, MA) and Irving for his second tally of the afternoon but, it was too little too late and BA fell to a final score of 4-3 to split the weekend with NSA. Both Nicolas Dupuis-Gaudreault (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) and Mike DeFilippo (Montreal,QC) would see time in net.

The Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they host the Boston Junior Bruins Saturday night, then are on the road Sunday for a tilt just over the border against Stanstead Prep on Sunday afternoon.
