BA vs. New England Wolves (Junior Team)

On Friday night the Bridgton Academy Junior Team faced off with the New England Wolves. The game started out with fast, hard- hitting hockey until Bridgton’s Brendon Duff (Stellarton, NS, CA) broke free from Wolves defender and blasted a shot over the goalie’s shoulder for a 1-0 lead. The Wolves answered in the second period with two goals to take a 2-1 lead. The third period was very physical, but the Wolverines couldn’t get the puck past Wolves goalie. The game ended in a 2-1 loss.

Saturday morning came quick back on the ice with the New England Wolves. The Wolves came out very quick and scored four goals right away. This didn’t stop the Wolverines from continuing to fight and work hard. Mike Defillipo (Monteal, QC, CA) came into the game and make some tremendous saves. Goals from Artem Yesnevsky (Kharkiv, UA), Luke Moma (Wasilla, AK), and Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) drew the game closer but the Wolverines were unable to complete the comeback, losing 7-3. Both of these games helped us learn a lot about ourselves, and we will be ready to take on Walpole Express next weekend.

Date and Time for Upcoming Games:
10/5 - 7:00 P.M. @ Bridgton Academy
10/6 - 12:00 P.M. @ Bridgton Academy
