LAWRENCEVILLE,
NJ/ POTTSTOWN, PA—The Junior Hockey Wolverines traveled south to both New
Jersey to take on Lawrenceville Academy and Pennsylvania to take on The Hill
School this past weekend.
The
Wolverines would drop a 3-0 decision on Saturday night to Lawrenceville
Academy. BA had a number of even-strength and power play scoring chances but
could not convert on any. Ryan Slatky (Manchester, NH) competed hard in between
the pipes.
On Sunday
morning, the Wolverines would face-off against the Hill School in Pottstown,
PA. BA would take a first period 1-0 lead after Spence Cowand (Gorham, ME) put
away the rebound on a point shot from Colin Donnelly (Quincy, MA). In the
second frame, the Wolverines would get on the board again with a power play
goal from Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) with assists from Trip Franzese
(Marblehead, MA) and Brendon Duff (Stellarton, NS). The Wolverines would
eventually fall to a 4-2 final score. Mike DeFilippo (Montreal, QC) provided BA
with great goaltending.
The
Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they host CEGEP-Saint Foye for
two games on Saturday night at 7 and Sunday at noon at BIA.
