BA (Junior) vs. Maine Wild

NORTH BRIDGTON, ME—The Junior Hockey Wolverines hosted the Maine Wild for a midweek contest at Bridgton Ice Arena Wednesday night.
The Wolverines got their scoring from Ryan McDonough (Dorchester, MA), Tripp Franzese (Marblehead, MA), Jordan Smith (Freemont, CA), and Cam McLain (Westbrook, ME) each with one goal. Nicolas Dupuis-Gaudreault (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) turned away a number of quality scoring chances throughout the game and earned the win in net.
The Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they travel to South Kent, CT to face off against the Selects U18 AAA team.

BA (Junior)


The Junior Hockey team traveled to Quebec, Canada for two games this past weekend. In the first game, BA came out firing on all cylinders, but ended up falling short 4-1. The only goal scored by BA came from Zach Lemerand (Grosse Ile, MI), assisted by Jordan Smith (Fremont, CA). On Saturday the Wolverines came out flying, but could not find the back of the net. The game ended 5-0, and BA never gave up for a second. The Wolverines look to bounce back this Wednesday at home against the Maine Wild at 7 P.M.

BA (Prep) vs. UNH (Club)


This past weekend Bridgton Academy’s Prep Hockey team traveled down to Dover, NH to face the University of New Hampshire Club team. It was an evenly matched game that saw scoring chances both ways. The Wolverines would fall to a score of 3-2 with Max Davies (Martha’s Vineyard. MA) chipping in a goal and an assist, Artem Yasynetskyy (Kharkov, Ukraine) with a goal, and Colin Donnelly (Quincy, MA) with an assist. BA had great goaltending from Dan Curran (Chelmsford, MA).

BA (Junior)

BA Junior Hockey at 2013 Warrior Classic
November 8-9, 2013
HAVERHILL, MA—The Junior Hockey Wolverines traveled to Haverhill, MA to take part in the 2013 Warrior Classic at Haverhill Valley Ice Forum this past weekend.
The Wolverines opened the tournament against the New England Wolves. It was a fast-paced affair with the Wolverines and Wolves exchanging hits and scoring chances. The Wolverines would drop to a score of 5-2, with goals from Cam McLain (Westbrook, ME) and Ryan McDonough (Dorchester, MA).
The Wolverines then faced off against the New Jersey Rockets for a Friday night showdown. The Wolverines would come out on top with a score of 3-1. The Wolverines goals came from Andrew Irving (Beverly, MA) and Tripp Franzese (Marblehead, MA). Nicolas Dupuis-Gaudreault (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) made some great saves and earned the win in net.
The Wolverines would wrap up the tournament with a game against PEAC Prep-Toronto on Saturday morning. The fast-paced, physical game turned out to be a 3-2 loss. Both of the Wolverines goals came from Irving.

The Wolverines are back in action this Wednesday afternoon when they head south to take on Philips Exeter Academy for an afternoon tilt.

BA (Junior) vs. Portland Jr. Pirates

LEWISTON, ME—The Junior Hockey Wolverines traveled to Lewiston to take on the Portland Jr. Pirates at the Androsoggin Bank Colisee on Wednesday evening.
The Wolverines would fall to the Portland Jr. Pirates by a score of 4-2. The Wolverines got their first goal from Ryan McDonough (Dorchester, MA), assisted by Luke Moma (Wasilla, AK), and Tripp Franzese (Marblehead, MA). The Wolverines second goal came from a tip in front of the net by Brendon Duff (Stellarton, NS), from a shot from the point by Tyler Burton (Labrador, NF). Ryan Slatky (Manchester, NH) was in net for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines are back in action this weekend when they will play three games in the 2013 Warrior Classic in Haverhill, MA.

BA (Prep) vs. Middlesex Islanders


The Prep Hockey team only had one game this past weekend, facing the Middlesex Islanders. Both teams showed up focused and ready to play. In the first period the Islanders managed to slip one by, but the Wolverines didn’t get discouraged, ultimately playing some of the best hockey. Blake Babineau (Gorham, ME) tied the game up, assisted by Colin Donnelly (Quincy, MA). Liam Burke (Yarmouth, MA) scored the game-winner, holding on to win 2-1.
