Tad Gold named Co-Athlete of The Month
Coach Sawicki stood up at chapel on Tuesday and said, "This month's award is going to two players who are examples of how not all athletic success is gauged on the stat sheet". The Late Winter Co-Athletes of The Month were awarded to hockey's Tad Gold (Oak Bluffs, MA) and basketball's Ruben Kanya (Hamilton, ONT).
Tad was the driving force for an 8-7 month for the Wolverine hockey team. He scored 7 of his 9 total goals for the year in February. His biggest game of the month was a big come from behind win over the Bay State Breakers on 2/5 as he had a hand in 4 of the 7 goals in the 7-6 win.

BRIDGTON COMEBACK AGAIN 1 SHORT
In the home and home final, BA dropped another heartbreaker to the New England Stars 4-3. BA again managed to outshoot the Stars 33-30, but again ran out of time.
Patrick Sen(Niles, IL/Loyola Academy) and Tad Gold(Oaks Bluff, MA/Martha's Vineyard High) led the BA offense with a goal and assist each. Colin Hurd(West Tisbury, MA/Martha's Vineyard High) banged in one for the third BA goal.
Overall, it was a great game, where BA continued to battle for each and every puck.
BA season wrapped up with 15 wins, 24 loses and 1 tie. It was a great year for the boys against some of the toughest teams BA has ever played.
Top Scorers:
Patrick Sen: 37 GAMES, 18 GOALS, 19 ASSISTS, 37 POINTS
Tad Gold: 30 GAMES, 9 GOALS, 19 ASSISTS, 28 POINTS

BA COMEBACK FALLS SHORT 7-6
Bridgton Academy has had trouble scoring at times this season. Unfortunately, they needed one more goal. Down 4-0 to the New England Stars, BA used the second and third periods to start their comeback. In the second period, goals by Mike Iacobucci(Franklin, MA) and Patrick Sen(Niles, IL/Loyola Academy) cut the Stars' lead 4-2. However, the Stars stuff two more in at the end of the second to make it a 6-2 game. With a few minuted remaining in the second period, Tad Gold(Oaks Bluff, MA/Martha's Vineyard High) banged in a power play goal. Sen and Tim Haroules(Westford, MA/Westford Academy) picked up the assists.
Down 5-3 starting the third period, BA went to work. Goals by Gold and Tom Macinnes (Plymouth, MA/Plymouth North High)made it 6-4. The Stars managed to get their 7th goal off a turnover in the high lot. Down 7-4, BA again battle back with Jake Donahue(Swampscott, MA) blasting one in from the point and Sen adding his second goal with about 5 minutes to play. Unfortunately, 7-6 was as close as BA would get. With an extra attacker on, BA piled the shots on the Stars' goalie, but couldn't find the back of the net. For the game, BA outshot the Stars 64-31.
