The Jr. B hockey team had a blowout win over the Maine Sternmen this past week with a score of 13-1. 13-1 game. After the Sternmen scored early to take the lead, Ethan Charny (Chicago, IL) completed a feed from Barry O’Neil (Falmouth, MA) and Evan Gray (Norwell, MA) to tie things up. Dan MacInnes (Plymouth, MA) scored the go ahead goal with assists from Dylan Larrow (Ludlow, MA) and Brian McKeown (Scarborough, ME). For the rest of the game, Bridgton was unstoppable. MacInnes tallied two more goals while Charny added his second. Additionally McKeown and Marco Spisso (Highland Falls, NY) scored twice while Chris Mini (Everett, MA), Dusty Burke (Sherborn, MA), Cody Norton (Essex, VT), and Zach Pettingill (Scarborough, ME) all added goals.
John Busa (Billerica, MA) started off in net and saved 8 of 9 shots for the win. Brendan Gaetjens (Montclair, NJ) also played between the pipes and stopped all nine shots that came his way.
Coach Meserve was happy with the game, but still sees areas that need improvement saying "it was a good win. We utilized our systems well, and we won the one on one battles...but still have to work on turnovers."
Up next the Jr. B team will travel to play in the the Cyclones Tournament in Hudson, NH with their first game at 3:30 P.M. on Friday the 21st.
