From various alumni living in Rhode Island.

What are your goals at BA?
To improve in any and every way, shape or form.

Where are you looking at for college?
Bryant, Salve Regina, Roger Williams and Nichols.

What is your dream school?
Any school that has great academics, great athletics and women.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
A lot different.  For one, it’s more structured.

What is the best thing about BA?
Definitely not the food- I think I would say the very accepting community on campus.

What is the worst thing about BA?
Definitely the food- and that it’s all guys.

What activities do you take part in at BA?
Experiences:

What activities do you take part in outside of BA?  Hobbies?
I like to hang out with friends and spend time with family.

To improve my grades and get into a better college than I would have directly out of
Lake Region High.

Franklin Pierce, studying to be a physician.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
Yes, because it is much more structured.  The staff here also cares a lot more about the students.

What is the best thing about BA?
The food.

What is the worst thing about BA?
I understand its purpose from a learning perspective, but don’t really like study hall.

What activities do you take part in at BA?
Experiences:
Snowfort making

I like to go on adventures, travel, hang out with friends and try new things.

I received a recruiting email from a coach.

What are your goals at BA?
They were mostly academic, but also to improve my hockey game.

Nichols, Framingham State and Roger Williams.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
Yes, definitely.  I feel like BA teachers offer much more help and the staff cares much
more than in my high school. 

What is the best thing about BA?
The hockey program.

What is the worst thing about BA?
The food.

What activities do you take part in at BA?
Experiences:
BBQ Club
I did community service for two quarters.

What activities do you take part in outside of BA?  Hobbies?
I like to play street hockey, pickup basketball and hang out with my friends.

If it’s not completely your decision to come here, than don’t.  Don’t let your parents sway you either way in any major life decision such as this.

The Stars played BA last year.  Also, I’ve known a few kids from my town who have become BA graduates.

What are your goals at BA?
I wasn’t at my full potential athletically when I entered.  In addition, I slacked academically in high school.  I really wanted to increase my chances of getting into a great college!

Where are you looking for college?
Plymouth State, Worcester Sate and Keene State.

What is your dream school?
Definitely Notre Dame.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
Yeah, big time.  My high school was so laid back that we even called my teachers by their first names.

What is the best thing about BA?
When you’re here you feel an obligation to complete your work.  In other words, being a student at BA gives you the inherent responsibility of completing your academic and athletic work to the best of your potential.

What is the worst thing about BA?
Dinner.

What are your goals at BA?
To develop better study habits.  Honestly, though, I pretty much just wanted to get better at everything that I do.

Where are you looking for college?
I’m currently sitting between a few.  Curry, Framingham, Suffolk.

What is your dream school?
Boston University.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
Yeah.  The increased amount of freedom is much more conducive to being a student.  The environment here is also much closer to that of a college, making it a very unique experience.

What is the best thing about BA?
Meeting a new group of kids and forming the brotherhood that we have.

What is the worst thing about BA?
The food.

If you come here, make sure you have a reason.  Come here to improve, not just to mess around and have a good time.

I was recruited the coaching staff here at BA.

I wanted to improve from the time I walked in the door to the time I graduate.

Franklin Pierce and Assumption.  I'm looking more heavily into Assumption.

Probably Harvard University.

Yeah, definitely.  You live with everyone here.  As well, my friends here are from all different parts of the country.

Having a rink on campus.

No girls.

BA won't do your work for you.  You can improve immensely in many different ways, but you're only going to get as much out of it as you're willing to put in.

To improve my grades and hockey ability.

I may play juniors next year.  Franklin Pierce, Curry College, Nichols, Suffolk, Merrimack, Oswego.

What is your dream school?
Northeastern University.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
First of all, it’s an all-guy prep school in Maine.  The community is much closer- you live with your friends and piers.

What is the best thing about BA?
All of the support I receive from faculty and staff.

What is the worst thing about BA?
Being in Maine with all guys.

What activities do you take part in at BA?
Experiences:

I like water skiing, going to the beach and hanging out with friends.

It’s definitely a good option, especially if you struggled in high school.  There is a big support system put in place to help you get your act together.
